KRITA FORUMS PRO
Wacom does have a fancy new stand for the new Cintiq Pro 24 and 32 inch tablet displays that makes it easy to rotate the display but the major down side is that they want $500 USD for just the stand.Īlso I wanted to pass along my thanks and appreciation for the developers of Krita, I had tried it out a few years ago however at that time it was kind of buggy.
KRITA FORUMS HOW TO
Can the brush settings be edited to add this functionality? If so are there any tutorials on how to do this or to create new brushes? I also was wondering if the development team has any plans of adding touch functionality to Krita, it the programs that I use that supports this it is great because the canvas can be easily rotated with out rotating the whole tablet, this is not too much of a problem with the smaller tablets but increases with difficulty for the larger tablet displays. Thanks for replying to my post, are the presets you mention the settings for each of the brushes? I had selected one of the pencils and expected it to work but it did not. I've never seen it not work out of the box. I have a new Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 pen display on order and hope that this will also work with Krita, does anyone know if it will work? Oh the other thing I was wondering about is if Krita will support my Wacom Art pen's rotation function (I have not tried this yet as I seem to have temporarily misplaced this pen).īoudewijn wrote:Yes, krita supports tilt. This is the reason I installed Krita because I was told that Krita runs natively on Linux and wanted to see if Krita would meet my needs before making the switch to Linux.

Does Krita support this? I hope so because I am seriously considering moving away from using Windows as my main OS and using Linux. I do not have this problem when using Art Rage or Painter 2019. So far I have not gotten Krita to use the tilt functionality of my Wacom tablet to work. Along with painting I also do a lot of sketching with both pencil and charcoal and need my digital art program to simulate using the side of the led that gives you a broader stroke when shading areas as well as the tip.

This made a massive difference for Krita, solving hundreds of bugs and improving performance and usability of the canvas and many brushes to the level where Krita first became ready for (semi) professional use. The first program, executed during the 2009-2010 timeframe, allowed Lukáš Tvrdý to work full-time on Krita for 24 weeks.
